I have done some googling, but can't figure out this tank's capacity:

DOT-3AA2250 HJ 212735 USD 70+ 2PFE79

Is it an LP80?

could be. Not sure if the "70+" or the "79" is the tank capacity

Can you post pictures?

Chances are, it's a 72.

They are steel 72s from the late 60s and early 70s. 2250psi operating pressure, 2475 with the +. The seller claims that both are in hydro, so they should be good to go. Not a bad price, either. These cylinders should last forever (if not abused), as far as we are concerned.

Unfortunately the seller didn't do a great job of writing down the tank markings in the ad. Here's the deal...

"ICC3AA2250 K59962 USD 7()67+"
Interstate Commerce Commission
3AA2250 -- steel made to the ICC3AA (before the DOT!!) spec, 2250psi operating pressure
K59962 is the serial number
USD = US Divers, probably made by PST
7()67+ = original hydro date.

You can see on this next photo that this is the same cylinder, and it is in hydro (Looks like January of 2007).

Other cylinder...
"DOT3AA2250 <serial number> USD ...70+" and then "79" under that.
All the same as above, except DOT instead of ICC.
Original hydro in 1970 (not sure of month) with another more recent hydro in 1979.

Hope this helps! :D
