Thought many of you on SB would be interested in this recently published
statistical validation paper for the LANL deep stop model (RGBM). We have been
collecting data (ongoing effort) from our C&C dive operations for the past 5-8
yrs or so, and finally had some time to publish the data, correlations, and analysis.
It's a first time correlation of deep stop data and model, and we have been
receiving many favorable comments form scientific, commercial, and meter
folks. Plus others across rec and tec diving. We also include analyses of the
Bennett/Maronni rec Doppler deep stop tests in Europe, the French Navy
and NEDU purported wet tests, our own RB tests to 440 fsw, plus others.

It's appended as a PDF file, and published in Open Sports Sciences Journal.

Thanks for the emails about this too.

Best,

Bruce

Thanks for making this available to the readership!

Is RGBM actually available in any form to the general diving public other than the limited implementation (I guess) in Suunto's?

A full-up RGBM dive computer can be found at Index.

According to Wienke HydroSpace uses something similar to Sunnto.

"modified RGBM recreational algorithms (Haldane imbedded with bubble reduction factors limiting reverse profile, repetitive, and multiday diving), as coded into SUUNTO, ABYSS, Plexus, HydroSpace decometers"

From -- MODERN DECOMPRESSION ALGORITHMS: MODELS, COMPARISONS, AND STATISTICS. B.R. Wienke

Am I the only one that finds it odd that the author of a decompression theory has to be it's primary salesman/marketer?

No . . .that innuendo has been brought up many times before primarily by other detractors.
