Here is a link to a paper written by Ameriacan Geophsical Union about:
Autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) mapping reveals coral mound distribution, morphology, and oceanography in deep water of the Straits of Florida

http://www.agu.org/pubs/crossref/2006/2006GL027734.shtml

This survey was done with the help of the second AUV the company I work with is using. We have a third on the way, and currently I am working on the first one in Brasil mapping the ocean floor there. Most of our work is for the oil and gas industry but we also do surveys for the scientific and archaelogical communities. We have found many shipwrecks over the years the most famous being the U-166 in the GOM which the Discovery Channel did a show on.

Also a link to a video of a commercial about our AUV. I tried to just post a picture but couldn't.
