My filefish were blurry - shutter speed too slow for those guys. By the time I reset, they were gone. That first fish is the one I saw on my night dive. I have never seen it before.
 
I think its the first time I've seen one like it before as well. Its always fun finding something a bit new eh? :)
 
I don't have my fish reference books with me, but I believe the fish in your first photo may be a brotula. I haven't see one at the Destin Jetties (I only snorkel), but I expect that they could occur there. I think they may be mostly a nocturnal species, hence you may be more likely to see them in the open at night. I Googled "brotula", and this appeared to be the best link:

Thanks for the help Dave C, SeaYoda says he has seen them before at night so I believe you are probably correct with the ID.
