Did The Pub move?

Chalo's is gone, replaced by the Pub. I am sorry to see that happen irrespective of how it came about. Replaced, displaced, whatever.

BTW, you have "imply" and "infer" mixed up.

No, I did not confuse those words, although "imply" could have worked as well. I used the word as I intended to in reference to the conclusion I thought you were drawing about why Chalos had moved. "To say they were displaced by the Pub infers (concludes) that the Pub is somehow responsible for them being “evicted.”

I love dining and hanging out at The Pub! I hope the new location will still have the shuffleboard table and awesome live music. At least parking should be easier at the new location.

The location inside Villablanca Hotel is very small; I don't know where they would put a shuffleboard table. It's very close to some of the rooms, too; I think that could affect a live music scene.

Someone on TA posted that The Pub vacated its location and has moved to the Villablanca Hotel as the property owner hiked the rent higher than was sustainable. Is this true?

According to Sharon it was not a rent hike but rather simply not renewing the lease. I was told the property owner intends to use the property as a hotel.
