It's just a webbing sleeve. The whole inflator fits through, you just take it out and reposition the base by unscrewing it, moving it and screw back on

So the build is comparable to halcyon's wings? Do you think the retainer is a tangle hazard? Should I just cut it off? I've got one in the mail.
 
You could cut it off and burn the tip easily. That's probably what I'll do when I get to Florida

The Hollis C45 just came in. It feels pretty solid, you definitely want to undo and remove the webbing retainer though. The inflator elbow and opv fittings are crap too, really easy to cross thread by mistake. PM me if you want pics.
