Dive Alaska is pleased to offer a diving itinerary full of fun and adventure!
Saturday: Youll arrive in Anchorage where an airport shuttle will transport you to your Hotel. After getting settled in, our staff will pick you up and transport you to Dive Alaskas shop, where we will go over a trip briefing as well as fitting any needed rental gear. Well have a great restaurant recommendation for you, then its back to the hotel for rest and relaxation for the evening.
Sunday: Its all aboard! for the Alaskan railroad. This scenic train ride will comfortably transport you to Seward in style with the best views Alaska has to offer. Youll travel along Turnagain Arm on your way up into Grandview Mountain pass where mountain vistas will thrill you! Once you arrive in Seward the day is yours, feel free to explore, shop, and enjoy the many beautiful attractions Seward has to offer. Visit the Seward Sea life Center Aquarium to preview the underwater realm which awaits you. Accommodations for the night will be provided at Hotel Sewards historic wing.
Monday- Friday: The diving adventure begins! You will step aboard the Bottom Time, Dive Alaskas 43 ft. Delta Marine Charter boat. The Bottom Time comfortably accommodates up to 12 divers and is outfitted with a diving platform, dive ladder, warm, fresh water shower, heated cabin and gear rinsing station.
Dive sites will be chosen based on experience level and weather. Seward is home to numerous beautiful sites with plenty of marine life to see. Well start out at a sight which will allow you to get your weighting right and knock the rust off those dry suit skills if youd like, then progress to our many walls where buoyancy control is a must. We work with each group to assure that the dive sites chosen are appropriate to experience and skill level.
Each afternoon after diving, youll be dropped off at Kayakers cove cabin where youll enjoy hiking, wildlife viewing or simply kicking back and relaxing for the evening. If youd like, rent a kayak and paddle around the local coves in the evening. (Kayaking is not included in the fees, and you must meet certain experience requirements).You will bring your own groceries and cook meals for yourself or group. A gas stove, oven, wood fireplace and running (stream) water are part of the conveniences of this rustic cabin. The facilities include an outhouse, but it has the best view in the world!
Friday evening: Youll spend one more night in Seward to unwind, take a well-deserved hot shower, and enjoy dinner at one of the local restaurants. Well store your dive gear for you in our locked, enclosed trailer so you dont have to lug it around.
Saturday: Its time to say goodbye, our staff will transport you to the Seward shuttle for your trip back to Anchorage. From there you can either ride to the airport, or continue your stay in anchorage (not included in package price).
