Dive and hotel package?

The wife and I are headed to Key Largo in November for three days of diving. Is it better to get a package rate of diving and accommodations or cheaper to find my own motel and book the diving separate? I got a quote from Ocean Divers, who I dove with last time. I had a great time with them but the quote seemed high to me. Any recommendations for a good, somewhat cheap place to stay?

What dates are you looking at?? There's the NASCAR final race of the season November 14-16 and the rates will definitely be higher that weekend. Generally speaking, hotel rates and green fees for golf typically go up in mid-November (considered to be the start of the tourist season).

Contact Conch Republic Divers. They set everything up for the last trip I had down there and we couldn't have asked for a better time. They got us a great condo and the diving was outstanding.

That's about the dates we're looking at. We'll be in Naples on the 9th, headed to Key Largo a few days after that. Maybe I'll try to avoid any Saturday diving, looking at Tuesday through Friday or something.
