i was wondering if their was any dive clubs in my area Lancaster palmdale area other then http://www.avdesertdivers.org/

There is one in Valencia. Search for it on Google. I am from Lancaster and have heard a lot of good things about Av Desert Divers, however, I have never been to a meeting. I went to the Valencia one once and everyone was really nice.

To tell you the truth ScubaBoard is really my dive club. We have the Wrinkles dive every month.

Now we are starting a monthly Mo2vation boat dive.

And there is usually something happening every weekend.

Well, do keep in mind that for most internet purchases you will not have a mfg warranty (note I did say most) which is true for other industries (TV's, Cameras etc). I see you are at Edwards AFB, have you gone on line and tried to buy any of your gear out of the PX? There is a dive shop in San Diego that has concessions at Gitmo and use to be at 14 other bases before the GWOT killed off his business due to deployments.

Excluding the internet (I prefer mfg warranty) I have found SC to have some of the more reasonable prices, and in my case it is the closest location that sells SCUBA equipment so it is my local LDS.
