Dive Instructor/Check-out Dives at Aquarena

Are the dive instructors doing checkout dives at Aquarena these days? If so, can anyone recommend an instructor or shop?

All the shops in Austin have instructors certified for Spring Lake. If you are looking for a private class, my money would go with Robert Weiss, www.laketravisscuba.com. Other options, equally good, would be John Lindsey, Dive World, and if he is still teaching, Harris Casey at Tom's. Not close to Andice but John Duggan, Duggan Dives leads Wounded Warrior classes at the lake.

I would let any of them teach a family member.

As often as circumstances allow. John/Renee dive on Tuesday mornings and Pete/Will generally dive Thursday mornings.

I can do checkouts there, through Scubaland. What kind of class are you looking to get done? PM me if you want...I have weekends free all month as of now.
