Choosing your dive equipment is a highly personal matter. No item engenders more passion/feelings on the part of many divers than does the knifew. As a life time outdoor junkie I find there is nothing more comforting than a knife that “fits” my hand. Even if all I use it for is to open bags of chips, making shavings for a fire, or cracking walnuts it is what makes me feel comfortable. It does not have to make sense to anyone but me. Somehow scissors, regardless of how functional they are, do not have the same cachet.

Someone's waaaay too into their knife. It's just a tool. :crafty:

Wow, no kidding! My knife is my husband's "old" knife that he replaced with a titanium one last year. Shows you how much it means to me....I didn't even carry a knife until we had an extra.

I am NOT going to take my Katana on a dive!

I will take shears on nearly every dive but I will also take a knife.
Sometimes I take a big knife. :D

I choose the Zeagle Tek Knife.

It's sharp as hell, one piece, and has a short blade.

I also carry an OMS Shears for their durability and ease of use with gloves on.

The Zeagle knife is sweet. I added a split ring to it to make it easier to diploy.

I carry a pair of shears and a cheap Oceanic Probe. No point in me spending any more, as they all end up on the ocean floor anyway.
