Hello,
We are looking for a Dive Operation that picks up at the Iberostar. We like smaller boats, 8 max. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you!!

Most if not all will pick you up there even though Ibero charges the op a monthly fee.
For a nice op Scuba Dive Cozumel | ScubaWithAlison Alison is terrific and makes you feel very comfortable and safe. The boat, Maximus, is a converted sport fishing boat, so its bigger than some of the smaller boats used but never takes more than eight. The boat is fast too, so your travel time on the boat will be one of the shortest. The boat captain, Carlos, is very friendly and speaks great English and will make you feel at home on Maximus. You can dive your tank and computer. Rental gear is great. The boat will be there waiting and at the end of the dives. :cheerleader: :cheerleader:

I dove with Scuba Tony Dive Instruction, Cozumel Mexico in June 2010. One day there were 5 of us on the boat and the rest of the time there was only 3 of us. He will pick you up next to the pier if you don't mind wading out to the boat. It saves all the pier fee crap. You have your own sports bottle for the week and they give it to you at the end of the week. They pull into shore between dives and provide snacks and drinks. They will keep and rinse your gear all week if you want them too. Mario and Carlos are great. I will dive with them again.

Have you tried Dressel Divers at the resort? We had great service with them, the staff was outstanding. The boats hold more people but they divide into small groups based on ability and depth, usually 4-6, max 8 per group. We really enjoyed their we trained guides and the quick rides to/from sites. Of course, they have their schedule and pretty much stick to it, so if you want specific sites of your own, them another op might be better.

iberostar is so close to all the reefs that all of dressel's dives are 1 tank dives. you can come back to chill out, grab some booze or pig out on whatever food you want (lunch area right near diveshop). I've dove boats that picked up toward the south, and sometimes, they don't seem to want to go any farther south, so our preferences to dive Columbia or Punta Sur gets overruled by the people who wants to go to Sata Rosa Wall.
