SoCal Scuba dive weekend report, recap:

Monterey:

Swell: light surge

La Jolla S/D:
Vis: 15-20+ in the canyon
Temp: 55-63 depending on site and depth
Swell: light - moderate. Saw some great shark and Nudibranch photos this week.

Ventura / North LA on shore: Leo Carrillo / Deer Creek / Malibu
Vis: 10-15+
Temp:65
Swell: 1-3

Santa Barbara on shore: Tajiguas / Refugio / 1000 steps
Vis: 10 +/-
Temp: 64
Swell: 1-3

Channel Islands Off Shore:
Vis: 30 +/- and cloudy
Temp: 66
Swell: 1-2 moderate surge / Current

Catalina
Vis: 50-60
Temp: 68-73 all the way down!
Swell: 0 at the park!

Looks like the swell, current, surge, and cloudy water will be here for a couple more days and then moving out. Offshore should remain good with little surge and a little water clouding.

Good job to those with Dive805, Poseidon's Playground, Malibu Divers, Beach Cities Scuba, and those at La Jolla Shores, Monterey, and Catalina for not letting the negative conditions deter you from enjoying the playground!

Thank you @antunderwater or the San Diego report: 3pm dive, no surf, viz 25-30' at 40 depth and 15-20 at 60 depth. Perfect day...

If you have a dive report let me know and I will give you and or your business / club credit on my website and social media pages.

You can get a lot more dive reports from this region by subscribing to the OCDiving (Orange County) and Divebums (San Diego) e-mail lists.

I will look at them. I am collecting reports for other guys I know, and then giving them to everybody else.
