I think you are correct about that.... at least this video suggests there was some sort of food put in front of the divers camera to attract the sharks.

It was Calypso. My buddy was on their boat Sunday getting his AOW, and the Capt. told him about having to drop the crate the previous day. I don't think it's any secret that they also do the shark dives. If you go to their reservation calendar every Saturday is identified as a shark dive.

Never been on that boat myself, but I hear he is the guy to go to if you want to spearfish.

In response to the last two posts about Emerald and Calypso, read this thread which started today, March 20, 2014 Dive boat operators face charges of illegally feeding sharks in state waters. Both Randy and his captain on the Emerald and the crew of the Calypso were cited by FWC. About time!
