I would like to say something about the dving accident 9/23/12. I am from Las Vegas and have been trying to get information since 9/24/12. I have searched the newspapers in the area around Catalina, checked for past television news of it and have hit a brick wall. Its ery frustrating and each time I am guided to your site I did see something Monday 9/24 about the coroner releasing his name, but couldn't get past that. So I'm not gonna mention any name, because I feel clueless. If anyone has any advice as to where I can find it please let me know. I would also like to thank the members of your site for allowing someone from out of town their dignity. And lastly I would like to pay my respects. He knew alot of people and had a lot of friends and he is going to be greatly missed. He was just a very down to earth person and had a beautiful soul. Go in peace my friend and always remember they is a special place in my heart for you, and you will not be forgotten. Sallymomally

I feel the same and I am from here. No one seems to know any more details or what the coroner had to say. Sad

There is another thread here on SB that gives info. Dive accidents are rarely covered in our local newspapers... often because the facts are not known quickly enough. This was the first fatality in the dive park this year.

I really don't know... I was out on a dive boat filming with the crew from Japan. Check the other thread as "details" are given there although I can't confirm any of them other than that the diver passed.
