I used to do diving there, last year in fact. Water temperature depends on the wind directions and can vary from 8 to sometimes 17 degrees or more. In general though about 11-15. A 5-7mm farmer john with additional jacket/hoodie of 7mm is used by many. Definitely a hoodie but standard thin gloves are OK. Depends on your cold tolerance. I prefered to use a dry suit. I got a bit cold otherwise ("unfortunately" 5% body fat does not help), especially on the deeper 30-40m dives on the wrecks around Smitswinkel area in False Bay.
