Did anybody dive today? How was the ferry ride back?

Here is a short video of the dives we did on Saturday

Oh sure, why not just torture the rest of us who could not go.

I wanted to go, but had to work, and then there was the dive planned for Sunday. So today, Sunday with the wind howling I drove down to Laguna Beach. WannaLaguna our beach safety cam and and ByranT drove down from westlake villagem and Ryan, the focus of all this came down from HB, all just to see happy surfers with waves towering above their heads as they road their boards into shore.

Now I have to go unload the car with all the dry dive gear and three (3) tanks full in it. Man I hate that.

Nice video.

I agree to chip in few bucks too.... I thought it was the bad economy that was hurting the business at Avalon, but found out it was Dr.Bill's wet suit that was scaring away the tourist....:rofl3:

Nope, you can't blame the wetsuit. I've been wearing it for about 13 years (and it was used when I got it). Therefore it can't be blamed for the economic downturn... or can it? It has deteriorated a lot since I first wore it, but I'm a guy and it's a lot like an old t-shirt or a well-worn pair of shoes.

Hey Dave, if you look closely towards the top of the image of the halfmoon group you'll see a male rock wrasse. That confirms my suspicion that it was an aggregation of halfmoon trying to get cleaned by the rock wrasse. Despite statements from scientists that rock wrasse are not cleaners, I see this behavior quite frequently (as well as rock wrasse cleaning everything from garibaldi to sheephead).

I'll try to get some video of it the next time!

I had a great time and feel bad for those who wanted to dive Sunday.

So jealous Dave! Looks like the vis was tremendous! I won't be able to get into the water until the end of the month! :( Hopefully the good vis holds up until then...

Sean, the diving was indeed wonderful. Sorry you and Tina missed it.

Sorry we missed it too; my Mother-In-Law is staying with us this month (not a bad thing, her and I get along very well), so we won't be able to hit the water until she goes back to Hong Kong.

I'm really anxious to get back into the depths and get some pictures in; I just got a new iMac and want to see how it beats Lightroom into shape!
