Am planning to be visiting Charleston - Savannah area for holidays and wondering what to expect for water temp and conditions late December to early January. Looking to do wreck dive and looking what opinions anyone has. Hoping to get some good video of site that's photogenic with good viz and interesting topography. Any good charters anyone recommends?

Afaik Charleston diving mostly shuts down in winter. Charleston Scuba is one option but:
Charleston Scuba offers local diving charters off the Charleston coast each year from May through October. - See more at: - Charleston Scuba - Full Service PADI 5-Star IDC

Maybe check with Low Country? https://www.facebook.com/Lowcountryscuba

The South Carolina Aquarium is worth a look if you're near downtown Charleston. Not the biggest but well executed.

No info on Savannah except you might contact Fantasea Scuba. I think operators in that area go to Crystal River FL in the winter though.

I run charters outta charleston,sc. Private six passenger boat.
