From my very limited experience at MM (all of 2 dives) ...when is good it's friggen EPIC!! Still ranks in possibly top 10 dives I've ever done...
During my previous stay at Misool Eco Resort, I did 3 or 4 dives at MM. They all were spectacular, including oceanic mantas. Here is my video from that trip:
 
Sorry to hear that. At what point did you learn of the spartan amenity situation? I ask because some people may seek out such offerings if they save a big chunk of money vs. more mid. range and higher end alternatives. Do you think the price was reasonable in light of the limited amenities?

I think for its price, it is a reasonable deal, especially for a younger group, who does not care about any comfort.

Yup that's what I remember!! Stunning video. Those big Napoleon Wrasse just came right up to you!!
You also got pretty decent viz that trip...it makes a big difference.
