Hi there,

I'm planning a trip to Saudi Arabia in July or August 2014. I was just wondering whether this is a good season to see large pelagic activity, including hammerhead and whale sharks, as well as mantas.

Any other tips regarding dive operators and liveaboards are most welcome.

Thanks in advance for your reply,
Grocio

Hi Grocio,

I trust that you are going there on a work related visa and you are aware that Ramadan this year starts around the 8th July with a major holiday 28 days later called Eid Al Fitr.

Jeddah is the place to go to as Red Sea diving beats anything in the Persian Gulf, so you are better off posting in the Red Sea part of the forum if you have not already done so.
