Quick trip report on diving in Japan.
I just went diving to Atami, in the Inzu peninsula, little south of Tokyo.
It's a nice 'little' city, about 45min from Tokyo through Shinkansen.
Surprisingly, there were many divers in the train, and diving seems very popular in the area. The other very good point was the dive club. MarScuba, managed by Matthew Endo:

I absolutely recommend the club, especially for non Japanese. Indeed, we ended up being a team of foreigners, UK, US and Hawaii, while most were actually leaving in Japan.
Very friendly, very well organized (pick-up at Atami Train Station, good seet up to rince material, included lunch at restaurant after the dives), and it was a excellent diving day.
For those who were wondering 'WTH diving in Tokyo', here is a quick video about what we saw. Viz was very decent, dives site are 10minutes from harbor, water temp was >~75F. Was probably not as exotic as Okinawa, but a lot to see.
