Well, I had been wanting to have a "flood" light with my Dive Rite MR11 HID light, but, can't justify the cost to go to a new light, and came up with the following for $12.95. The adaper widens the beam about 4-5 times.

Using a $7.98 halogen bulb, and a $4.97 rubber plumbing fitting, I was able to make a slip on adapter in about an hour.

I figured this might be useful for some folks!
(I will take a photo tonight in the pool to give an flood idea.)

Full write-up on how I made the adapter.
