DIY Titanium Regulator Anodizing

Set up the gopro when I anodized my last regulator. Here's a look at an Atomic T2X getting a makeover.


Materials:
DC power supply
Titanium wire
Distilled water
Baking soda
Dawn dish soap
Plastic container
A random piece of stainless steel.

Yes, it is simple to remove anodizing. A couple seconds in hydrofluoric acid will take it back to a dull silver and then a quick metal polish would bring it back to shiny. Anodizing is only adding to the microscopic titanium oxide layer that affects how color is reflected and then perceived, so it doesn't take much to take that oxide layer off with a strong acid.

I played around a bit with a port plug... One matte pink on top (etched before), one shiny pink on bottom (polished before).
