So my video camera doesn't have any tray, or really any place to add lights, so I am slowly building up the parts for putting an Ikelite camera attached to the housing.

I've got the flexible hose to attach it, got most of the parts, but I'm slighty concerned about tray, I was thinking of making my own (buying a piece of metal and cutting a few custom holes in it) but then I'm thinking this might have other issues, the idea of having sharp edges on the metal tray doesn't strike me as that good, trying to drill holes in and of themselves might not be the easiest.

Has anyone else made a custom tray? Or does everyone buy them, if bought from where? I see that Nocturnal lights sells a tray for about $30?
