Do I need a new light??

Well, the Kraken 1500z came in today. All aluminum, rechargeable lithium battery, seems very solid. The light output is actually far more impressive than I had hoped for. It has 3 levels of intensity so I can drop it way down, and also zooms from spot to flood. Really happy with this for a primary handheld. Can't wait to try it out!

Question, do you have to cycle through all the levels to turn it on and off?

No. Just hold the button down a second or so and it comes on. It does always come on on the bright setting, but it will shut off from any of the 3 intensities. It also has 4 strobe settings.
