I'm kinda stuck now going to Punta Cana in Dominican Republic in May, too much grief trying to change anything with Expedia. So, now I'm talking to a couple of dive shops close to hotel. Was recently talking to a guy who just came back from there and he recommended Scuba Caribe. Dressel was #2 and they are closer to me when it's time to get picked up.

Any significant difference that anyone knows of?

Thanks!

Dressel is a very reputable dive operation throughout the Caribbean and Mediterranean. They have operations in Cozumel, Playa del Carmen, Jamaica, the DR and the Spanish Med. You should not have any qualms about diving with them. If they are closer and more convenient to your location, no need to hesitate.

You may give a try to a different dive operation, no big groups, max 4 people same level, long dives, and you choose the site! check it out! www.risasdivingshop.com

BradMM,
To echo Trailboss123, Dressel does a fantastic job. If you go their website, you can enjoy a 20% discount if you prepay for your dive package before arrival. My wife and I used them in Cozumel and will definitely use them when we go to DR for my nephews wedding next year. Have fun!

Greg,

I've been feeling kinda down about being stuck with going to DR. Your nephew is getting married there? Does he/you know much about it? Cheer me up! Tell me it's a good place! Please!

Brad,
Sadly, I've never been to DR. They decided to get married there for the typical caribbean feel without breaking the bank. His fiancee has been there and really enjoyed it, albeit, she is not a diver. A dear friend and course director did his CDC there and obviously did quite a bit of diving. He said the diving was good, not great, but still enjoyable. I'm sure if you go with "I'm going to make the best of it" with your situation, you'll have a great time! Go and enjoy your trip and at the end of the day, the beer is always cold……….

Yep, we're staying at an all inclusive and my wife wanted to mainly just relax so, if we hang out by the pool and just drink all day... so be it. I'll just deal with whatever diving I get. Probably won't be the best or the worst. Always better than the local lake!!!

Thanks!
