Greetings, my family will be visiting the Dunedin/Pt. Chalmers area next year for a a brief visit. I was wondering if there was any diving in the above listed locations? Also wondering if there were any dive rental shops in this area. It would be a shame to go to NZ and not log at least one dive there!

You're best bet is probably Dive Otago - HOME | Dive Otago. They will be able to rent you gear and tell you where to go.

The only diving I've done around Dunedin was at Aramoana Mole, a short walk if you don't have the key to the gate - but not arduous. Good diving, some OK wrecks, but cold and a little murky.... the seals can be a bit playful at times.
