is there a sticky that explains all the parts of a housing and how they fit together?

For example, how do you choose an extension ring and port? Is the extension ring based on the lens length and the port based on the lens diameter?

Are there ports where you don't need an extension ring?

Thanks. So for a given camera body housing and dome, I pick the extension based on the lens?

Kinda ... Based on the lens and the port (some ports may require an extension, while other ports that are compatible with the same lens may not require an extension).

Scenario A:
You have your body and housing
You have a lens you want to use.
Look it up in the chart and see what port will fit, and if any extensions are required

Scenario B:
You have your body and housing
You have a port you want to use
Look up the port and see what lens are compatible and see if an extension is required.

You need to know 2 out of the 3 pieces to figure it out (Body/Lens/Port)
