That would work well. I use bins like these but mine are much larger than the ones sold at Home Depot.

If you can find the same item from Rubbermaid you will be better off. Sterlite resin is very brittle, almost like styrene. All of those lightly colored corners are material stress. Rubbermaid uses a higher rubber content and can absorb much more impact.
