"I want to be

Under the sea

In an octopus's garden, in the shade."

So goes an old Beatles tune of my youth.

But what if it were possible to do--garden underwater? For years growing up, we've been told that it was possible to farm the seas in similar fashion to the land. The only problem from the standpoint of the individual was that these efforts were all predicated on a massive scale, and seemed out-of-reach for the person who wanted to try it on a smaller one.

A garden, if you will. Like in your back yard or a window box, scaled to fit an individual effort.

Maybe it's not so far-fetched now with newer technology and thinking. (Sharing with an octopus is optional.)
