As a capital city of Papua Barat, Manokwari is a pleasant base from which to explore world-class diving in Dore Bay (Teluk Doreri) and Cendrawasih Bay Marine Reserve. Dore Bay is the final resting place of many Japanese war ships and planes from the World War II. The Dore Bay wreck is protected all seasons, and is full of life. One of the wreck dive site near Hotel Mangga rests a huge Japanese transport ship (Shinwa Maru, 120m long) with good shape on the depth of 35 meters!

Cendrawasih Bay, meaning the Bay of “Bird of Paradise” (a symbol of Papua), is the largest marine reserve in Indonesia. It features world-class diving sites with 130 species of coral, and is also home to endangered species of giant clams, turtles and dugongs.

Diving condition here is great with very good visibility of 20-45 meters. The coral and fish are abundant and diverse. You can find vertical walls, lagoon channels, caves, platform reefs, etc, and have good opportunities to encounter giant wrasse, humphead parrot fish, big schools of barracudas / jacks / trevallies, octopus, sharks, dolphins, hawksbill turtles, giant clams, etc.

TOUR FARE (6 DAYS AND 5 NIGHTS):
1. a group of 9 guests or more: USD 690 / HK$ 5,300 / Rp6,300,000 per person.
2. a group of 6-8 guests: USD 970 / HK$ 7,500 / Rp8,900,000 per person.
