Exporting from Florida?

Can anyone based in Florida explain to me how sales taxes are applied (if at all) on sales made from Florida based supplier to out of state or out of country? My understanding was that items shipped out of state do not get taxed.

Any info would be great.

It is my understanding that taxes would not apply, if shipped to a state where that particular operation does not have a facility.
