Fiji - Diving and Holiday, where is the best spots?

Hoping to go to Fiji over Easter. I'll be travelling with a non-diver, but hoping to get in a couple of days diving. Which island would be the best to combine a relaxing hotel stay with the option for me to do a couple of days diving (as an experienced diver)? Can anyone recommend a resort in Fiji that won't require a mortgage to pay for (around $100-150 per night)?

It would help to know a little more about what you are looking for.

Five star accommodations, or 2-3 star?
All inclusive, or someplace you can cook your own food?
Relaxing by the pool and taking it easy reading a good book or snorkeling or kayaking when not diving, or shows and such?
Isolated, or within driving/cab distance of shopping and such?
Is your diving priority soft coral or pelagics or macro life or what?

There are resorts and islands to fit just about anything if you know what it is you want and where to look.
