As far as I know Mares is the only one still using 1/2" hose at all, the rest stopped years ago, but hoses are easy to come by.

Apeks still uses a 1/2" port, as well as some others...
 
Why would a company worry about changeing from 1/2 to 7/16 or 3/8 ??? Does it really make that much of a difference. Why no just stick with a number??
