Unusual yellow/orange orb spotted in the heavens this morning. Speaking of which, the color is odd too, it is a smooth clear blue and not it normal bumpy grey-black. :11: Hmmmm, I just had an outside consult and I am reliably told that is the sun and a blue sky without any clouds in it. :07:

Soooo, who wants to go diving Friday or Saturday? I am thinking Laguna Beach or old marineland. Swell model today is 1-2 feet. Friday is day 4 (I hope if it don't rain today) of sunshine.

I'm in for Saturday. Laguna or Marineland sounds great.

Wow. Look at the forecasts for this weekend. Swells should be nil. Tide swings are only a few feet. Clear and sunny.

Jim, this isn't like you, you usually find something to worry about. What's going on?

Maybe you shouldn't dive. Ok, I'll give you a few reasons -

1) traffic, parking - both might be bad, everyone will be out due to the good weather
2) vis - still might be bad, from the storms, sediment might not have settled
3) diving skills - you haven't dove in a while, maybe you should schedule a pool refresher session first..
4) water is colder, which means you'll get colder faster, which means increased DCS risk. Are you prepared for that?
5) It's been too long since your reg's been serviced. It's life support, why risk it?

Still feel like diving?

1)Who cares..driving is just a surface interval.
2)Bad viz makes you pay attention to the small stuff.
3)Practice makes...practice!
4)Long walk from far-away parking place will pre-warm you.
5)Live fast and hard...life is a little risky.
"Still feel like diving?" Ohletmethinkaboutit...YES!!!

I hate to miss diving with all my favorite dive buddies, but I'm planning on driving down to Ensenada, Mexico to do some diving there...

so have fun without me!

btw, the weather report is calling for, like , no wind at all thursday/friday, so you guys should have great diving.

hey, does anyone want to join emily and me in ensenada for a dive? its about an hour from the border..

What time? Keeping in mind the parking lot and gate to dive site close around 4:30 p.m. or so. Which is a bummber as this would be an awsome night dive site.

Scott,

Are you trying to rub in the fact that you will be diving somewhere better than ol' So. Cal? I.E. Ensenada?

If so, then I got 3 words for you... Cozumel, Belize, & Roatan. That is where I will be diving next week.

Anyway, doesn't it just figure that I have been trying for over 3 weeks to get out and try my new Christmas gear and haven't been able too. And when the weather finally clears up I won't be here to enjoy it.

Actually, I wasn't trying to rub it in, I honestly wanted to see if anyone else wanted to dive with us, its not that far of a drive to Ensenada. I think of it as just an extension of So. Cal diving.

Parrothead, So Cal diving is great, we have some of the best diving in the world here. Have fun in Cozumel, I've been there, but I'll never be ashamed about diving in So-Cal.
