What time? Keeping in mind the parking lot and gate to dive site close around 4:30 p.m. or so. Which is a bummber as this would be an awsome night dive site.

Melvin
Hi Melvin, Anytime from 0900 to 1400 hrs would be great for me...and get us past the gate before they lock it at 4:30. (Had to break down gear and pass it over and climb the fence once...that's enough...although it's doable which does open the possibility of a guerrilla night dive during warmer seasons...hmmmm..) What time sounds good to you?
I'm so glad you suggested this!

I hate to miss diving with all my favorite dive buddies, but I'm planning on driving down to Ensenada, Mexico to do some diving there...
hey, does anyone want to join emily and me in ensenada for a dive? its about an hour from the border..
Scott
Thanks for the great invite, Scott! I can't believe I'm saying no, especially after my rant to "...follow Scott when he says here's the place to dive..."
So, I'm looking forward to reading your dive log posts on the Board, 'cause you are going to get in some spectacular dives!
I'll be on the Express with ScottR(notFiji) Saturday, hopefully heading for a great day of Casino Point diving. Macrocystis makes for the best diving in the World, IMNSHO!
So, Ensenada stays on my "gotta-go-there" list for a little longer. Next time...
Hope you and Emily have a great time, and thanks for inviting us all,
Claudette

...I got 3 words for you... Cozumel, Belize, & Roatan. That is where I will be diving next week.

How long are you going for? I'm assuming not all 3 in the week or you wouldn't be able to dive! All three are great!

Actually, yes all three are in one week. These are all stops on a cruise that I am taking. So I will be able to dive all three since I don't need to worry about flying.

Day 1: Houston
Day 2: At Sea
Day 3: Cozumel
Day 4: Roatan
Day 5: Belize
Day 6: Cancun
Day 7: At Sea
Day 8: Houston

Holy cow that's some movement! Should be loads of laughs though. Safe travels!

How about we meet at 10:45 planning on being in the water at 11:20-12:20?

Ok so that is Friday 14 Jan at 10:45 or so at the Old Marineland Site. Now about Saturday. I want to go diving then too, possibly Laguna Beach.

I'm hearing really bad stuff about bacteria levels in the water from the sewage spills etc that are expected to take more than the normal 72 hours.
What have you heard? I'm still not an expert at this.
Thanks

Sounds like a good call for high tide rocky entry...I'll confirm Thursday night and see you Friday.

The Friday dive at 10:45 Marineland (Long Point) is officially off as only HBDiveGirl confirmed and she is off line for maintence (head cold).

Now if anyone wants to go diving Friday, I am still game.

Only 61 beaches closed at this time (things are improving) due to sewage spills. Long Beach all beaches (which are all in the breakwater like we would dive there anyway) due to a very small spill of only 2,400,000 gallong of raw sewage. Humph, they close the beaches for that little bit? go figure.

Malibu near Malibu Creek, Corona Del Mar, Salt Creek and from Dana Point to San Clemente due to sewage spills.

Well that leaves some place open to dive. Crescent Cove and Deadmans should be OK as too should be Shaws, and Long Point (old Marine Land). Malibu is just having too many issues with slides and road closures and sewage to consider right now. So how about it. Who wants to dive Friday or Saturday, or even Sunday. Got to get wet.
