Hi folks,

I've struggled for a few weeks now to find some full-size images (or crops of full-size images) taken with any of the Canon DSLRs... does anyone have one they might share, or a crop of one?

Lots of the down-rezzed versions look great, but it's hard to evaluate quality for printing through those.

I'm particularly interested in any shots that might be through one of these "+4 diopter lenses" that seem to be required for shooting through these dome ports...

Thanks for your help!

Ben

It won't be underwater stuff, but try the Canon forum at dpreview: It might not be that easy to sign up, but once you are on you can post and you'll probably be able to have a bunch sent to you, it's a very busy forum primarily of Canon digital owners.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the suggestion. I guess I was a little vague in my original post. I've been shooting Canon DSLRs for years (since the D30 came out), so I have lots and lots of good source material from my on-land adventures. I do plenty of printing and usually can look at an image and quickly assess quality relative to a sharp lens on, say, a Canon 1Ds. I just haven't found anyone yet who'd be kind enough to post or send me one or two untouched images straight out of the camera. (I'm curious what these dome ports and diopter-adjustment filters do to the picture quality.)

Thanks for taking the time to reply, though!

Ben

Email Jay with what you want. He's usually very helpful and I'm sure he'll oblige. I doubt if you'll find full-rez UW photos on the web due to copyright reasons.

Or try Herb Ko (uwphoto at attbi.com) over at wetpixel.com. He has a 300D too.

Last time I checked there were some tiffs on Canon's website.
