I have a scubapro MK17 with a S555 . I was thinking of upgrading to a newer unit since I have had this gear for 7 years. It is in great shape and serviced properly. Is it really going to make that big of a difference? if I go to a MK25 evo and a A700 or a titanium 620?

As the trend appears above. I've dove both the s555 and a700 (borrowed, I dive the mk12) and given the equal option would pick the newer design.

But wouldn't pay more than a few bucks for the premium to do so. The upgrade is barely noticeable in a meaningful way for me. Titanium I'm interested in from a maintenence perspective, but don't know how that translates to real service life.
