Reefman, what an amazing experience!!! What location was this? I live in Mimai and have dove in the Keys many times and besides a Black Tip I have never seen any sharks besides the typical Nurse Sharks. Great photos.

the location was about 4.5 miles offshore the southern end of lower matecumbe key(caloosa cove marina). the area is not frequently dove except by spearos and commercial lobster divers, no mooring buoys and close to the TENNESSEE SPECIAL-USE RESEARCH AREA ONLY ZONE. iv'e been told no commercial dive operators visit this section of the reef( half way between alligator and Tennessee reef) the closet operators being; keys dives(bud N marys marina) and dive duck key(hawks cay resort). the result is very little diving pressure. unless you have access to a boat or give curt a call on the link provided for a charter, your out of luck. I was the only one without a camera in the group, they appreciate your comments,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
