Fundamentals is basically a remedial course that teaches you what you should have learned from the start. I would take Fundamentals as soon as possible. Waiting to have 120-150 is just going to reinforce any bad habits you already have and create new bad habits. Therefore, do it as soon as possible to get the proper training and then you can practice correct technique learned in the course. Also, based on what I am reading I would recommend taking it in Rec. configuration. You are going to be bombarded with new skills etc. There is no need to complicate things even more with Doubles and a corded light for which you don't have any experience. Be aware, very few divers earn a Tech pass on the first time. I was told the rate is about 30%. Get your Rec. Pass, Dive, practice and get doubles experience and then do your Tech. upgrade. There is no rush; slow is smooth, smooth is fast...

Also, read Meredith Tanquay's course progression advice:

Yeah, and I'm not in a sprint. Really not worried about chasing certs. Wife is a new OWD, so I like her (M. Tanquay's) plan of taking F1, then doubles, then F2. Wife could join and have time to get comfortable as a single-tanker, and I could get used to doubles. Not concerned about a dry suit either way, but I have zero experience with doubles, and that is an area that needs improvement.
