What are those things the diver is collecting?
 
.........shark's teeth.

Many of them are from the extinct Megladon, the largest man-eating shark that ever roamed the great ocean depths.

Some speculate........he is still there.

Get a chance check this spot out, if you can brave heavy currents, dark water, and quite possibly alligator experiences, the rewards are more than worth it.
 
This does look like our famous Cooper River here in Charleston. Even though its dark and sometimes dangerous with the ever present gators, but the finds are usually undescribable....
 
There's a couple of other rivers they're finding the same teeth as well, right? The Ashley River?
 
Yes we have several good rivers. The Cooper is by far the best, but we also have the Ashley and Wando as well. Here are a few links for anyone interested. The first is a post on our local forum at charlestondiving.com, where one of our best describes how best to hunt for artifacts in the rivers.
