it's the only bag I've ever used, so nothing to compare it to.

Seems easy enough to use...deploy, attach to spool, stick reg inside opening at bottom and purge, release bag ...you could inflate it orally, too if you prefer that method.

It's a nice size and stows easily under the backpad on my BP.

Open: wide open at bottom, no baffles to prevent dumping
at surface. inflate via 2nd stage purge or exhaling into
bottom of bag. some have an OP valve.

closed: inflate via LP hose. closed bag. if rate-of-expansion exceeds ability of OP valve to vent excess gas, guess what happens?

semi-closed: open at bottom with baffles to aid in preventing the bag from dumping when it hits the surface. inflate via 2nd stage purge or exhale

...but have seen them in my LDS. I HATE how they did the dump...if you are actually lifting something, how do you go back and forth from the object you are holding to the top of the bag to vent gas as you ascend?

well, it's probably a fine idea to make certain "the bag" will
merely LIFT the object rather than fire it to the surface.

Boyle's Law.

but I can guarantee that using a bag that will lift 'x'#s to
raise an obect that weighs 'x-y' is an invitation to a problem
if "y" is a large enough number.
