Not much diving in Havana. There are some wrecks in the harbor, but vis is hit or miss and you have to duck ships.

The closest dive shop is at Marina Hemingway, they are very nice but the diving is pretty "meh". You have to go south, east, or west to get anything acceptable.

Are you just staying in Havana, or will you be getting out and about?

I will be out and about. Would you be able to recommend something?

Best diving in Cuba is Maria la Gorda on the far western end, hands down. Best close to Havana is a resort called Cayo la Visa. West of Havana about 3 hours. East of Havana is Veradero. The diving is meh, but they will take you to Bay of Pigs, which is excellent.
