Marvintpa:Have you ever seen a wreck with a yardarm? Have you ever seen a wreck with a yardarm IN PLACE?? I've had the good fortune of diving a wreck or two and had never expected to see such a thing - it's rare just to have the mast standing and maybe even a BIT of the crowsnest left, if you're really lucky.
The 3 masted, 136' long schooner Cornelia B. Windiate lies in 185' of water in Lake Huron. She sunk in 1875 and somehow the yardarm on the mizzen mast is still attached. If you have the training to see this wreck I highly recommend it. That yardarm, if other wrecks are anything to go by, won't stand for ever.
vlada:We debated #1 Vs #2 as well, you are right - they are very close. Got the five gauges shot on the engine, but ran outta time to play aroudn the boilers - I was sure glad I could adjust deco on the fly to account for extra 5 min BT ;-))
When we did Minni, we ended up diving the stern twice the first day and got blown off the next day. So, if you have spaces on your summer trip, sign us right on
I would love to see your videos of those wrecks one of these days - may be at Aquasub over the winter?
