Welcome to SB!

Sunnycharacter, don't just drop by, we want you committed for the rest of your life. Every day of this icy winter, you're required to surf through the photo gallery for pictures of the sunny Caribbean. Search the travel boards for posts from people lounging on a sunny beach, bragging about that day's diving. And making plans for your trip to the sun and clear water of the tropical resorts.

If you have not yet pushed the "Magic" button. . . go to the top of any page and press "Forums". Under this button is a long list of everything to do with diving, and divers. Not yet ready to drive icy roads to your local lake? Click on Forums. . . Regional Travel. . . Midwest Muck Divers, then look for the search button and look back 6 months ago. Or use the search function and look for your closest dive lake, there will be lots of Missouri divers talking about their travels. There are a few divers going this time of year, and the visibility is good now, but you'll find most of us diving in the summer months.

If your neighborhood lake is lousy, do what a lot of Midwest divers do. . . go to Arkansas! Those Ozark hills are full of clear water. If you get hungry at the end of every day, learn to spearfish. Arkansas allows spearfishing for a lot of good tasting fish. Have a long weekend during the summer? Lake Ouachita has houseboats for rent, lots of islands to claim for your own and sandy beaches, clear water, air stations scattered around the shores. . . those ocean divers don't know what heaven can be. Click on "Forums" and don't look back at your old life, you're a ScubaBoard diver now!
