I loaned my Ikelite DS 50 strobe to a friend when he went on vacation recently. One of the batteries, a NiMH, leaked into the battery compartment. We don't know why it leaked, but I suspect it could have been because of the heat. Anyway, he told me that he tried to clean out all the goo but didn't try to use the strobe again after that.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to clean the strobe battery compartment?
