Got home last Fri night, just got time to write a bit.We went down July 31st and started diving the next morning .Average of 2-3 dives a day counting 1 day off a week to go shop Key West.Vis was usually good this year inshore from 15' to 40' and offshore from 30'to 100'+.Lots of sealife spotted including the following highlights.Being circled by a 6' Spotted Eagle ray.Seeing at least 7 seperate Jewfish from #80 to one over #500 on the Adophus Busch.Seeing several carribean reef sharks up close (5') at Looe Key .Add to this all the usual snappers, groupers, tangs, grunts, angelfish etc.The non-diving highlights were dinner a Latitudes on Sunset Key and standing still at the end of No Name Key while Key Deer came up and licked our sweaty hands and arms.Wind blew out any chance of deepwater excursions towards the end ,but the first week was calm.Had a lot of friends down either with us or close by.Now reality is setting in as we have 4'-6' seas for the weekend and little chance of going offshore.
