Home made DPV stand

Hola members. I'm making a DPV stand since A) I need one. B) boredom.

Here are my current plans. I am using oak wood for the stand. I picked up an 11.25"x1"x4' board, and a 1"x4" dowel for this project. Some paint to make it pretty and seal the wood. Thinking I'll add rubber feet on the bottom and velcro to the cradles.

Cut a cam strap into 2 sections, and sew each section to a dowel. That way you can strap the scooter down so it won't slide around. Round all the corners of the boards and add a layer of neoprene to the round cutouts where the scooter will lie in, I used the neoprene from the hardware store intended to resurface trowels.

why velcro, I use cam straps with a ratchet mechanism.

I used bungee for mine, loop in a single ender and a place to clip it in on the other side.

I still need to have my roommate bust out her sewing machine and make the straps, then I'll put them over the dowels and thread it together.

I added velcro to the radius cut to pad it for the DPV, and I added small rubber feet to the legs to help prevent sliding on the boat.
