Hi everyone,

Our next Hooky Dive of the year will be on Wednesday, Aug 18 at Haigh Quarry. We will meet there around 10:30 or so and do 2 dives. When we were there last month, water temps extremely warm. According to Haigh's website:

Surface - 84*
20 ft - 78*
45 ft - 65*

Visibility is averaging 15 ft. Who is all going.

Pete

Hi!
I might be interested in joining up, if I get permission from the boss/wife. :)

FWIW, I would recommend diving the deep end--when I was out there Thursday, the vis on the deep end wasn't bad, but algae blooms in the shallow end (we were near the airplane) reduced vis to about 3 feet--worst I've seen it in the past year. No slight intended to Haigh--Tina's great, and I love diving there.

Sounds good Jaeger. If you know for sure you are joining us, let us know and we will wait for you. We are going to try and get there closer to 10:00.

I know what you mean about the algae. Just a fact with "tropical" fresh water. What were the temps like when you were there. Still mid 80's?

Slight time change...we are leaving around 8:00 hoping to get to Haigh by 9:30. See everyone there. Jaeger, let me know what you're doing.
