You can also try smashing the worm gear section some to make it grab again. I do this when I accidentally ovetorque them and bend the housing

Also don't get the el cheapos at home improvement stores. I have seen those strip out super easy. The ones @bamafan linked are good as well as the DGX ones..

I tried all of the above fixes and no luck just a back clamp. I’ll order a new one.
